Preparing the rooms before we begin painting is extremely important. We ask that you move any furniture, wall hangings, or appliances prior to our arrival time. We treat your items with respect and would be happy to assist you move items, if agreed upon in advance. Moving items to the center of the room is acceptable if there is not room to store them otherwise. Before an estimate please be sure that we can access the space near the surfaces you would like painted.
Buying your own materials will not save you money. As a painting contractor there are discounts that we can get that you as an individual cannot. The price of materials and paint is included in our estimates. Our goal is to provide the highest quality materials for the lowest possible price.

Denver Colours Painting Company ™ guarantees our exterior work for 2 years. If the paint appears to crack or chip give us a call and we will assess the property promptly (weather permitting). In 2008 the EPA created a mandate that states that if contractors are to perform work that would interfere with lead-based paint, including any Renovation, Repairs, and Painting (RRP), they must be EPA lead-safe certified in order to handle the project correctly and safely. Fixing walls before we paint is part of our job description. In order to execute a job successfully it is important to prepare any area properly. This includes, but is not limited to, patching/fixing holes, caulking, replacing wall paneling, nail removal., etc. We would be happy to discuss the details associated with your property throughout the whole process. If other damage is exposed after we begin work, we will promptly make you aware of it and make adjustments accordingly.
We use high quality paints that will help to ensure you paint job lasts! Thick coverage applied to a clean surface allows for paint longevity. After we complete the job, it is common for dirt to accumulate in high traffic areas of your home or business. Taking the time to wipe off the dirt and/or cooking oil will help to extend the life of your paint job. You can use a mild soap and a soft cloth to clean the walls. Then wipe off any excess soap with water.
In order to extend the life of an exterior paint job, it should be power washed every 2-3 years.
Yes, when temperatures get down to 35º Fahrenheit we will not be able to paint exterior surfaces. In addition, snow and rain can make exterior paint jobs impossible. Interior jobs can be done all year round!
